Head of Operations

Salary: £60,000 plus £5,000 car allowance
Location: North West, Cheshire, Stoke and Stafford, with a wider clinical remit across the organisation
Current professional registration as an Adult Nurse, Learning Disability Nurse or Mental Health Nurse is essential for this role.

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a confident and experienced clinical and operational leader who is:
A qualified Adult Nurse, Learning Disability Nurse or Mental Health Nurse with current professional registration
Clinically credible, with strong nursing expertise alongside senior operational leadership experience
Experienced in leading and managing care services and supporting Registered Managers across multiple locations
Skilled in clinical governance, managing clinical risk and overseeing delegated healthcare tasks
Experienced in developing and mobilising new services
Confident in coaching operational teams, developing staff and driving service improvements
Passionate about person-centred care and positive outcomes
A driver with access to their own vehicle, essential for travel between services
We welcome applications from nurses with leadership experience across different areas of the care sector; supported living experience is not essential. Operational leadership experience alone, regardless of seniority, does not meet the requirements of this role without the required nursing qualification, current registration and credible clinical expertise.
A Day in the Life of a Head of Operations
You’ll oversee multiple services, supporting Registered Managers and operational teams to deliver exceptional care. Your day might include coaching managers, reviewing clinical risks and care plans, strengthening clinical governance, liaising with families and professionals, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
You’ll bring clinical oversight to delegated healthcare tasks, support the development and mobilisation of new services, and contribute your expertise across the wider organisation. You’ll lead by example, inspire confidence, and create a culture of continuous improvement, keeping the safety, wellbeing and individual needs of the people we support at the heart of every decision.
