Full Time Intensive Experienced Support Worker – Days & Waking Nights – Fazeley
Experience essential | Drivers and non-drivers welcome
Day shifts: 8am–8pm | Waking nights: 8pm–8am

At Aspirations Care, we don’t just offer jobs — we offer meaningful careers. If you’re bringing experience, resilience and a passion for person-centred support, we’re here to support your journey with purpose, passion, and people who truly care.

We’re proud to be different. Our team is built on Commitment, Compassion, and Collaboration — values that shape everything we do. When you join us, you become part of a community that shows up with purpose, leads with empathy, and works together to achieve the best outcomes for the people we support.

Getting to Know the Person You’ll Support

Based within a service made up of single-occupancy bungalows, you’ll support a person who receives 5:1 support, working alongside your colleagues to provide consistent care shaped around their needs, choices and interests.

They enjoy being out and about, regularly using public transport and spending time in their local community. Their interests include bingo, trips to the local park and zoo, sports, food shopping, ten-pin bowling, canal walks and browsing charity shops. At home, they enjoy colouring, arts and crafts.

We’re looking for someone who will take the time to get to know them, build trust and actively join in with the things they enjoy. Supporting their choices, recognising what matters to them and helping them have a fulfilling day will be at the heart of your role.

🌈 What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for people who are:

  • Kind, patient, and genuinely passionate about helping others.
  • Reliable and ready to show up with purpose every day.
  • Great communicators who enjoy working as part of a team.
  • Experienced in supporting people with complex needs and behaviours that challenge.
  • Resilient, calm under pressure and able to respond confidently to changing situations.
  • Engaging, bubbly and approachable, with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Active, attentive and happy to accompany the person on public transport and community outings.
  • Extremely motivated, proactive and willing to help with everyday household tasks.
  • Committed to attending all relevant training and putting their learning into practice.

This role requires experienced staff who can hit the ground running, while taking the time to learn the person’s individual support needs and build a positive relationship.

The person we support can display behaviours that are intense. You’ll need to remain calm, recognise signs of distress and work with your team to support them safely and respectfully. Physical intervention may be required, in line with your training and the person’s agreed support plan, with an emphasis on prevention, de-escalation and protecting their dignity.

We’ll support you with full training and ongoing development.

🕊️ A Day in the Life of a Support Worker

Every day is different — and every day makes a difference. You might start your morning helping someone plan their day, prepare breakfast, or attend an appointment. In the afternoon, you could be supporting with life skills like cooking or budgeting, joining in with hobbies, or simply enjoying a walk and a chat.

In this role, that could mean catching the bus together for a trip to bingo, enjoying a canal walk, visiting the zoo or helping with the food shopping. At home, you’ll support them to prepare meals, take part in household chores and enjoy activities such as colouring and arts and crafts, encouraging their involvement and independence throughout.

You’ll build real relationships, celebrate progress, and be a trusted presence in someone’s life. You’ll work closely with a supportive team, communicate openly, and make decisions that truly matter.
